Storm Damage

Professional Roofing Services in Fort Worth

Hail and high winds are a regular part of spring in North Texas, and storm damage is not always visible from the ground. If a storm has come through your area, a roof inspection is the best way to find out whether your home was affected.

When our project manager arrives, they will walk the perimeter of your home, noting and photographing any storm damage to siding, window screens, paint, stain, fencing and gutters. Next, they will get on the roof to inspect the condition of your shingles, vents, soft metals and fixtures. All of this is done using the HAAG training method.

FAQs

Storm and Hail Damage FAQs

How long do I have to file a hail claim?

Many Texas policies allow a year or two from the date of the storm, but the exact deadline is written in your policy. It is best to have your roof inspected soon after a storm.

Can you negotiate my insurance claim?

No. No roofing company is legally authorized to negotiate an insurance claim. We can inspect and document the damage, work on your behalf during the insurance company's inspection and guide you through the process.

Will filing a claim raise my rates?

That depends on your carrier and your policy. Your insurance agent can answer that question for your specific situation.

What is my deductible?

Your deductible is listed on your policy declarations page. On many Texas policies it is a percentage of your dwelling coverage rather than a flat amount.

What is the HAAG training method?

HAAG Engineering trains inspectors to identify and assess storm damage on roofing materials. Our inspections are done using the HAAG training method.
